How to clean your pan properly

Properly cleaning cookware is an important task in any kitchen, but it can be quite tedious, especially when it comes to pans without PTFE/Teflon/PFAS. But what if we told you that you can easily clean our HIFFICIENCY® pans under the tap, rinse them and oil them a little if necessary? And what if we told you that you can even clean your pans in the dishwasher? Yes, that's true, and it's all thanks to the new DURAQUARZ® non-stick coating on all HIFFICIENCY® pans.

1. Easy cleaning of the pan under the tap

To clean your HIFFICIENCY® pan under the tap, all you need to do is rinse it with hot water and use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to remove any food residue. If necessary, you can add a few drops of dish soap to the sponge or cloth. Then rinse the pan again with hot water to remove any soap residue. Finally, dry the pan with a clean towel and rub a thin layer of oil on the surface if necessary.

2. Clean the pan in the dishwasher

The second option is to clean your HIFFICIENCY® pan in the dishwasher. This is a great option if you have a busy schedule and don't have time to clean your pans by hand. To do this, simply put your pan in the dishwasher and let it go through a normal wash cycle. At the end of the program, remove the pan from the dishwasher and wipe it with a clean towel. Finally, rub a thin layer of oil on the surface.

To sum up, cleaning your HIFFICIENCY® pan is usually quite simple: rinse under the tap and then oil it a little. You can also clean your pans in the dishwasher, but it's best to do so only when necessary. With these tips, you can keep your HIFFICIENCY® pans looking like new for years to come. So enjoy your cooking skills without worrying about cleaning!

3. Remove heavily burnt residues from the HIFFICIENCY® pan

(please do not use with Teflon pans)

This effective cleaning method should only be used if you have something burnt and/or the pan has a coating that cannot be removed with a simple rinse.

"Ingredients": You will need some salt, oil, a drop of dish soap and a rough sponge. These materials should be found in every household, so this cleaning solution is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to keep their professional pans in tip-top shape.

Step 1: Add salt, oil, and dish soap
Sprinkle a small amount of salt over the burnt residue in your HIFFICIENCY® pan. Then add a small amount of oil and a drop of dish soap. This combination of ingredients acts as a natural abrasive and helps to break down the burnt-on residue.

Step 2: Polishing
Using the rough side of a sponge, make circular motions across the surface of your HIFFICIENCY® pan. Apply light pressure and continue this process for about 1 - 2 minutes. You should now see how the burnt-in residue dissolves.

Step 3: Rinse and oil
Once you're done with the sponge, rinse the pan with warm water and a little dish soap. Be sure to remove all the salt, oil, and dish soap. After rinsing, dry your HIFFICIENCY® pan with a clean towel and apply a small amount of oil. This will prevent your pan from sticking in the future and keep it in top condition.

To sum up, cleaning your HIFFICIENCY® pan is very easy. With just a few simple ingredients, you can always keep your pans looking like new.

Happy cooking!

Note:
Please make sure that you do not overheat your pans/pots and that you use temper-resistant oil for frying and cleaning. Virgin unfiltered (olive) oil is not suitable for this. The latter can be added at the end of the frying process for flavor. Burnt oil is not only sticky and blocks the non-stick effect, but also harmful to health.
